Santa Fe Writer's Retreat
Join me for an all-inclusive retreat to write, dream, and be inspired. This is an opportunity for women writers to BEGIN or FINISH their writing projects in my stunning Santa Fe vacation home, nestled on 5 acres of pinon, juniper, and cedar.
Invite the creative spirit to walk the labyrinth, join a supportive writing mastermind session, take in the beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces, and be nourished with organic homemade meals inspired by the local terroir.
Casa de Sueños awaits.
“There is something magical about Santa Fe. The energy stimulates you, so you are more creative. I know I was. I showed up to Casa de Sueños without ideas for a new novel and left with five full character sketches and an entire storyline.”
-Mona Alvardo Frazier, author of Garden of Second Chances

The writing retreat offers the following:
-A stunning private room and private bathroom in Casa de Sueños, my Santa Fe vacation home. First to book gets first choice of rooms. The spacious Adobe home sits on 5 acres of cedar, juniper, and piñon. It is gorgeous from the inside out. The house offers many places to write, think, and dream. The house has a labyrinth and offers a mountain in the backyard for short hikes (it takes about 15 minutes to hike to the top).

An extra large soaking tub awaits the writer(s) in the Hummingbird Room. First person to book with a deposit gets first choice of room.
-Breakfast, lunch, and dinner*. Meals are primarily plant-based meals I cook. The meals feature organic ingredients and local baked goods to showcase the regional dishes and flavors. Plus, I cook up a recipe or two from my book EAT LESS WATER. After a day of writing, some writers are happy to join me in the kitchen to chop, mix, knead, or roll out the evening meal.
Meals are served in the gorgeous kitchen and dining room with its nearly 200-year-old dining table from France.
* As a group, we decide if and when to eat meals out in town. Santa Fe offers incredible award-wining cuisine.
The dining table is a treasure found in one of the many antique shops in Santa Fe. It was built in the 1800's in France to knead bread!
-Daily Sunset celebrations with biodynamic wine or tea and charcuterie board on the grounds of Casa de Suenos.
"I was delivered by faith, having stumbled upon Case de Sueños after a random Google search for writing retreats in Santa Fe. Not knowing the owner, other participants, or what I would find when I arrived, the website and a conversation with Florencia appeased any ambivalence I felt. Upon entering the house, doubts were quickly cast aside as the house, my accommodations, and the company I found myself in enveloped me with familial warmth. The beauty and serenity of Santa Fe are personified in Casa de Sueños—from the decor to the privacy of each room. Time slows down. We all found our nook to write and gather when the hunger for conversation or food arose. The days spent in Florencia’s lovely home flowed easily and naturally, allowing for breakthroughs in my writing that I had grappled with for years alone. A graceful alchemy occurs when women are allowed space to create and be together. Casa de Sueños is a gentle cup, an inner sanctum to hold all brewing within you to puddle, dribble, or pour forth as each magical day reveals itself."
-Aly Mo, Writer (working on adult fiction)

"A writer's retreat at Casa de Suenos is serenity, mornings with birdsongs, starry nights, the breeze that blows across the grass. Imagine writing while snow falls outside your window in the warmth of the fireplace. or outside, watching the sunset turn the hills golden. Walk the labyrinth for inspiration, or follow a trail through the beautiful Santa Fe landscape. No matter the season, Casa de Suenos will nourish your spirit and creativity. At night, retire to an incredibly comfortable bed. You'll wake up refreshed to another productive day. The home is spacious and gorgeously decorated, with many cozy areas in which to write. The bedrooms and bathrooms are impeccable. A hammock outside is a perfect place for a nap. Gather around the long dining table with other writers at dinner, share ideas, and build community. Once you've been to a retreat at Casa de Suenos, you'll be dreaming about your next visit. I've attended in the Winter and Spring, and they've been my all-time favorite retreats."
Eva Gehr, writer (finishing her first young adult novel)
"Seeing your world from a new perspective can open up channels of creativity undiscovered. The writer's retreat did just that for me. Not only the beautiful surroundings and spaces filled with love but also the gentle guidance from Florencia to allow the natural unfolding of what is. Plus, I learned how to make tortillas from scratch. Thank you for the magic! I brought it home with me."
